Audio Design

I’ve managed to secure an audio designer for the project! I knew of his work though dare, and when I head the To-Tum teaster that he made thought he’d be an excellent fit for Presence (I finally have a title better than “honours project”). The intro reminded me a lot of the Hearthstone and Flower OSTs which are both calming, concentration focusing and pleasant to listen to.

We had our first meeting today and had similar ideas about the music for Presence, which was fantastic. We both agreed on an ambient, acoustic guitar sound, with Doug suggesting layering tracks on top of each other as the player progresses, as an aid to the visual progression. I’ve checked and its fairly easy to do the blueprints for this.

We talked about Flow and Flower as influences, and Doug showed me some of his tracks that are in a similar vein. This sounds great and I can imagine navigating my environment to this music.
